THE STORY OF LYMA 

“LYMA began after enduring a six-week battle with septicaemia following the birth of my daughter. After being deemed medically well, I was still wholly depleted, taking a cocktail of drugs and desperate to feel like myself again. In an attempt to be proactive about my health, I visited a wellness retreat, which became not only the turning point for my health, but for my life” recalls Lucy. Here she met world-renowned professor in evidence-based nutrition, Paul Clayton. “Paul prescribed me a regimen using peer-reviewed, patented ingredients, dosed at effective levels, with a rigorous sourcing process and formulated for maximum absorption - the same process that is followed for pharmaceutical products. I had nothing to go on but hope. Within weeks, I started to feel like myself again. Within months I felt better than ever. That’s when the idea of LYMA was born… Not from some elaborate business strategy but right then, I knew that like me, there must be other people needlessly suffering and whose lives could be transformed by these evidence-based nutraceuticals. And thus, LYMA became a reality” adds Lucy. Fast-forward to today and the brand not only dreams up supplements, but skin care tools too. Breaking it down for us, the founder goes on to explain how: “LYMA Laser contains a 500mw near-infrared low-level laser beam, which is proven to reach the skin's base layers and induce biological change.” What’s more, “unlike traditional ‘hot’ lasers used in clinics which use heat and damage to stimulate collagen, the LYMA Laser employs a near-infrared beam that’s completely cold and therefore a safe option.” Lucy states. A non-invasive, non-ablative at-home device, LYMA Laser low-level laser therapy (otherwise known as LLIT) prevents harm to the dermis and is suitable for skin types all tones.

“The LYMA Laser transfers light energy into cells, which then converts into chemical energy, powering up the cells once more to regenerate and renew. The technical term for this is Photobiomodulation and is, in essence, the non-thermal energy conversion of a particular type of light energy to promote tissue regeneration and repair. To get hyper-technical, the LYMA Laser is a leading example of epigenetics whereby it activates a genetic switch that turns off skin cells producing nitric oxide and dials up gene expression to increase oxygen production instead. This process fades pigmentation, reduces redness, and calms inflammation, effectively transforming the skin.”
