August Favourites

August consisted of two weeks spent rotisserie-tanning beneath the glorious French sunshine (I know it’s naughty but I used a proper sunscreen and, thanks to {Institut Esthederm}, didn’t get remotely lobster-ed), immediately followed by a fortnight of the weirdest British weather known to woman. In a bid to keep my ‘glow’ and make sure I was prepped for every outfit-eventuality, I returned to these beauty best friends on the regular.

Like a moth to a flame I was instantly lured by {OUAI Haircare’s} sleek styling. Satisfyingly Scandi (although fresh from LA) the {Hair Oil} feels likes silk and it smells like Hawaii (#immapoetandididn’tknowit). A summer staple, this grants precious strands a gorgeous gloss while acting like a swim cap (only chic-er) – preventing all the damage wrought by sun, sea and salt water.

At the risk of sounding too much like a ‘stuck record’ (sorry not sorry), Jouer’s {Luminizing Moisture Tint} is just amazing. I flirt with ALL of the foundations but keep coming back to this sheer, dewy base that unifies and glow-bestows without migrating, settling or caking. It really is the nearest thing to ‘real skin’ – only better.

Aaaaand, because I’m actually tanned, I’ve been pipetting Perricone MD’s {No Bronzer Bronzer} into everything – moisturiser, base and body lotion – as well as distributing one drop between my ring fingers and applying from cheek-to-cheek to get that sought-after ‘sun-stripped’ effect. I would have used a {Brow Wiz} to draw freckles on but, ain’t no-one got time for that…

I’ve also been preaching the {Sigma Beauty} gospel to my fellow make up wearers – their {Flat Kabuki Brush} works wonders – effortlessly blending all my complexion products for the most seamless, ‘soft focus’ effect.

My toes have been sporting {Smith & Cult’s} stunning ‘Dark Like Me’ – a sumptuous, autumnal hue that heralds the forthcoming season (and looks oh so fancy) – while my underarms have been stylishly dressed in Aesop’s natural {Deodorant}; it’s really fresh-smelling and non-sticky, PLUS, you don’t get that weird white ‘fall out’ which snows all over clothes.
