TRIED AND TESTED

Our Editors Try… IT Cosmetics New Nude Glow

a collection of your skin but better cc+ nude glow skin serum foundation.

Investigative journalism is our thing and we leave no stone unturned in pursuit of the truth which is why, we’ve fulfilled our commitment to beauty and done the hard job of road-testing the best thing to happen to skin since the CC+ Cream of your dreams. Yep, we’ve been trialing IT Cosmetics’ latest launch: their {CC+ and Nude Glow Lightweight Foundation and Glow Serum with SPF 40} (try saying that five times fast) and, although breezily titled it isn’t — brilliantly blurring? It most certainly is... read on to learn what the team thinks about it.

Natalie, Junior Copywriter

"While this wasn't exactly the level of 'glow' I expected, this make up-skin care hybrid stopped me in my tracks from the get-go. A pump of this nourishing base is enough to lend a blurred ‘soft focus’ look to your complexion. Somehow this walks the line perfectly between flawless coverage and looking completely natural (while feeling weightless all day long). My top tip for a truly dewy base? Apply a light catching layer prior to {Nude Glow} for a more radiant finish."

Nasreen, Junior Copywriter

"Although this didn't give me the kind of my-skin-is-not-oily-it's-just-dewy glow that I like with my complexion products (what can I say — I’m devoted to ‘dew’?), it did give a lovely second-skin tint with minimal product and sat comfortably all day long!"

Bethan, Senior Copywriter

“I’m more of a skin tint kind of girl so I’ll admit that I was a little unsure if I would like this but I was pleasantly surprised! It doesn’t feel heavy in the slightest, in fact it diffuses really easily into skin for a perfect medium-coverage finish — my spots are blurred but my freckles aren’t completely hidden. I love that it’s enriched with skin care ingredients too. If my make up can hydrate and brighten in the short and long-term, then I’m sure to be a big fan. It’s definitely worth a try if you love that ‘no make up, make up’ look.”

Josie, Content Manager

“While not as ‘glowy’ as I'd hoped, this did give a super-nice natural-looking finish. I was pleasantly surprised by how well the shade matched my skin tone too — it blended so well and though lightweight gave a good amount of coverage. It also lasted all day, so I'll definitely be reaching for this for in-office days!”

Precious, Junior Copywriter

“'I think the key to unlocking the {Nude Glow} magic is having amazing skin prep. While I'm used to heavier, fuller coverage formulas, I can appreciate the weightless feel of this pump 'n' glow creation. Some of my hyperpigmentation does show through a teeny bit but I guess this is perfect for low effort days when less feels is so much more.”

So there you have it? Our resident ‘word nerds’ have spoken and hopefully answered your questions. The verdict? More of a ‘real’ than a ‘glass skin’ effect (the {CC+ and Nude Glow} is a bit less luminous than the team expected) however, the finish is light, buildable and manages to blur without disguising precious freckles.
