The Lipstick Queen Talks Lip Enhancement
If you want to know about {lipstick}, Poppy King is your gal. I recently caught up with her to talk about {Lipstick Queen}, so read on for her thoughts on all things smacker-tastic...
{Poppy King} Whilst other forms of make up are all about concealing, disguising or enhancing, lipstick is the one item in your make up bag that has the ability to entirely transform your look. For me, no other product has the same effect, not only on how you look, but how you feel. And it’s the powerful, transformative effect that lipstick has on a woman’s psyche that got me hooked in the first place.
{PK} Everyone can wear lipstick, no matter what shape or size your {lips} are! It’s just a case of finding the right texture. If your lips are narrow, try sheer colours with a hint of shimmer - light-diffusing particles can instantly make lips look fuller and much more voluptuous. Both my {Queen Bee} and {Eden} lipsticks include tiny, holographic particles to subtly 'augment' without appearing glittery.
{PK} You can use a little {concealer} around the edge of the lips to create a clean, defined outline. However, the best way to stop feathering is to use my {Invisible Lip Liner}, which literally 'seals' any fine line on the lip perimeter so that your lipstick cannot bleed. This clear, invisible, silicone {lip pencil} is absolutely fool-proof and a total must-have if you’re fond of strong colours or liquid textures.
{PK} With lips as the focal point, I’m interested in which products can be used to help accentuate the eyes without detracting from the main event (your statement pout!). For example, I sometimes love wearing a tiny flash of aqua marine along my lash line for a subtle 'pop'.
But, having said that, for now at least I’m still focused on lips... I’ve got too many ideas I want to explore before I can begin to think about transferring my affections.
