Great product!
I don't know what caused the 1-star review on this product but honestly this is one of the best curl shampoos Ive ever used. Before you start with any product that doesn't use harsh sulfates to clean your hair, make sure you've detoxed your hair and scalp and definitely make sure you're not using any other hair products with silicone in them, because silicone can only be cleaned from hair with harsh sulfates, and if you keep using those products while using a shampoo without harsh sulfates, it will leave your hair extremely dry because of the uncleanable build-up which will prevent your hair from taking any hydration and nutrients in. But if you're already well down the CG-path, your hair will truly love this shampoo. I have type 2A-C curls and it doesn't leave my hair heavy (while I'm extremely prone to that), and as of the first use I already see more curls popping into shape. Also good to keep in mind is that shampoos without silicone will leave your hair feeling a bit strawlike in the shower so ALWAYS use conditioner after, and with products that have this much healing power, make sure to not leave them in your hair for too long, because then you will absolutely get heavy (or even greasy) hair. Stick to 30-sec washing with this shampoo and you're good! The shampoo feels a bit watery and doesn't foam as much with the first application but with a rinse and repeat you'll have a full head of foam. Only 4 stars because I feel this bottle will go a tad faster than the conditioner because of the watery consistency, but I will definitely buy this again when it runs out.

I should have thought twice before buying this without reviews
This is the worst shampoo I’ve ever tried! First of all, the texture is so watery, almost like liquid. It’s difficult to get any foam, and I had to use nearly two palmfuls of shampoo just to cover my hair. What’s even worse is how it left my hair feeling stripped and dry. If you have curly hair, you know the importance of hydration, not drying it out. While I love the Despair Repair line from Briogeo, this shampoo is a huge disappointment from the brand.
