Everybody in the Cult’s getting tipsy! Serious skin, hair and body care heroes that don’t take themselves super seriously, Drunk Elephant’s rise to the top of the industry pops has been (rightfully!) meteoric. Founded by Tiffany Masterson who wanted to formulate products without any ‘fillers’, this all-star collection is powered by biocompatible actives – a mix of synthetic and plant-derived extracts – that skin recognises and knows what to do with. And, because of their ingredient-elimination philosophy, you won’t find any of the following ‘Suspicious 6’ – drying alcohols, silicones, SLS, chemical screens, essential oils or fragrances/dyes – so you can ‘reset’ your complexion and help both your skin and your tresses to flourish like never before.

My one and only shampoo
I tried a full set of body and hair products from Drunk Elephant, and this shampoo was my favorite of them all (btw: I hated the conditioner). It leaves my hair soft and shiny, and at least for me (long dry hair) it lasts a lot, so I think it has a great price for the quality and the quantity that you get from it.

A bad shampoo
Didn't see any benefits to this shampoo. Other reviews warned about the marzipan smell of the shampoo and conditioner, but I thought I could get past it. It's impossible, the smell is horrible.

Great Shampoo!
Used with the Cocomino Marula Cream Conditioner - great combination. My hair gets pretty oily and I work in London, so need a shampoo that is going to really clean my hair. My hair feels clean, whilst feeling nourished and is left with a beautiful glossy finish. It lathers well (which I love) and has the classic Drunk Elephant almond scent - which I adore!

Go-to shampoo
It took me a while to figure out how to use this, but since then it is the only shampoo I use (and my boyfriend swears by it too). Because it doesn't lather, I work it into my hair in stages (I have fairly long hair). My hair was also flat and greasy when I started using this, but I figured out this was because I wasn't actually getting the shampoo to every inch of my scalp due to it not lathering (so my hair was just unclean...). The shampoo makes my hair soft and strong and the smell is very subtle but divine. A little goes a long way so I think it's good value for money. It's the first SLS-free shampoo that I've been able to stick with and I hope DE never discontinue it!

Super soft and manageable hair
I use this shampoo (and conditioner, scrub and spray) for a while and it is absolutely the best! My hair is super soft, clean, manageable and healthy!

Meh…
I was excited to try out this shampoo. it lathers quite well and the marzipan smell is non-offensive to me. After using this shampoo my hair has become lackluster and dull. Not sure if it’s the shampoo’s fault or the DE conditioner’s (or both). My hair doesn’t get like that even with regular mass market shampoos. I wouldn’t really recommend this product. Maybe others will have better results with it though.

Weird smell
Because I have a fragrance allergy I am always in search of a good non perfume shampoo. I've tried this shampoo together with the drunk elephant conditioner and was really disappointed. Both shampoo and conditioner have a really strong (almost artificial) almond/ marzipan smell to it. After washing my hair with it, the smell totally disappeared and changed in a sort of tarty fishy salmon/metal smell. Not the almond/nutty smell that you would expect. I really dislike that smell. The conditioner did not do its work either because my hair was not detangled at all after washing. I have very fine blond hair. Definately not using this again!

I wouldn’t recommend it especially if you have long thick hair
I do have long thick hair and I usually use professional Salon Products but wanted to try other brands and I love Drunk Elephant products but with this Shampoo I am finding it extremely hard to foam and latter so I can give my hair a good clean wash! This does not happen and I don’t know why , I see reviews saying it does but not really for me. I’d nearly need to use half the bottle for it to work , I like two give my hair two shampoos but don’t even feel it’s getting one good full one. I will use it up but sadly with my experience I will not be repurchasing. It smells amazing but Sadly that’s the only positive thing I can say about it.

Drying a lot!
I've been using the Drunk Elephant shampoo and conditioner for several weeks now. It is the first time that a haircare brand dries my hair that much! I do not recommend these products, which is sad because I was super excited by the release... It's a big no for me, not better than a random 5 euros product from the supermarket. I am sticking to other products for now...
