How much to use:
Short – bob.
Thin hair – 1 jar.
Thick hair – 1 jar.
Below shoulder – waist length:
Thin hair – 2 jars.
Thick hair – 2-3 jars.
Longer than waist-length:
Thin hair – 3+ jars.
You'll need: gloves, applicator brush, clips, bowl, & an old t-shirt or cape. Cover all surfaces you do not want to get hair dye on as Unicorn Hair can permanently stain surfaces and fabric.
1. For best results, start with clean, unconditioned, dry hair. Full Coverage shades work best with pre-bleached platinum to medium blonde hair and add a tint of colour to dark blonde and light brown hair.
2. Wear protective gloves and pour desired amount into a bowl.
3. Section hair into 4 even sections (front to back & side to side) and secure with clips. Work in 1 inch wide strands. Apply colour evenly from root to tip with applicator brush. Begin at the root of the hair applying colour evenly through to the ends. Massage each strand with fingers, root to tip, to ensure even distribution of colour.
4. Leave Full Coverage shades in for 30 minutes. No heat/cap required. For more intense, longer-lasting results, leave colour in for 1-2 hours. Don't worry, Unicorn Hair will not damage your hair, as it does not contain any harsh chemicals or bleach!
5. Rinse hair in cool to lukewarm water until hair feels clean. More intense shades may not rinse clear for the first few washes. Do not shampoo. Conditioner optional.
6. Style to your liking & enjoy your new Unicorn Hair!

Shook is Gorgeous!
I tried four different brands to dye my silvery blondish hair mauvey pink and Lime Crime is the only one that took to my hair, and it is lovely! I read and looked all of the reviews and it was clear that Sext is a failure, and that the other colours are very saturated, so Shook seemed perfect. It has faded nicely with my weekly washings so now it is a very pale pink, which is very nice indeed, and I am ready for a re-do. I leave it in for two hours and used half a Jar for my below shoulder length hair since I wanted to have some left for touch-ups and experimentation. Not bad! I am in the minority for who doesn't like the candy scent at all, but I can bear it for the excellent results ;-)

Interesting...
I had bleached, blonde hair and I used the shade Chocolate Cherry I left it on for about 1 hour 15 mins. My hair is bright pink, like early 2000's Pink (the singer) hair. Don't get me wrong, it looks amazing, I was just surprised at how bright it went. It literally stains everything though so be super careful with everything if your hair is wet. I've washed it 3 times so far and I shampoo twice as well when I wash my hair, hasn't faded at all yet. Got a good amount in the pot, good value for money. Very happy with this product!

Washed out immediately
I had light blonde/pink ends and darker roots before using Strawberry Jam, I’d been looking for a really rich but vibrant dark pink for ages and was so excited when I found one from Lime Crime! I left the dye on for 2 hours before rinsing and the colour was basically highlighter pink! Not a deep, rich dark pink! I wash my hair maybe once a week? After one wash my hair was basically the colour it was pre-Unicorn Hair. The smell and feel of my hair after using the dye was amazing though! But really not worth the money. I’d rather buy a Coco & Eve mask for making my hair soft. I would not recommend.

Lime Crime Bubblegum Rose
I’m really impressed with the Lime Crime hair colours, they are extremely bright and have pretty good longevity for temporary colours.
