Borne out of one woman’s frustration, AMELIORATE’s creator, Annette, was desperate to eradicate her ‘chicken skin’. Having suffered with Keratosis Pilaris from an early age – a remarkably common condition which causes skin to appear rough, red and bumpy due to an excess of keratin which leads to little ‘plugs’ or goosebumps. Annette decided to take matter into her own hands… She set about developing an exfoliating treatment and skin-smoothing body lotion to gently resurface and deeply condition, so those with KP – or just dry, scaly skin – can liberate their limbs and flash some flesh with total confidence.

A deep-conditioning formula to cherish chapped hands, AMELIORATE’s Intensive Hand Therapy Rose softens, soothes and protects with a blend of replenishing butters and plant-derived extracts.

Rich and reparative, this cream stars the brand’s unique LAH6 Skin Hydration Complex - six active moisturisers combined at an optimal level to ‘lock in’ hydration and leave scaly skin feeling smooth and replenished – alongside fortifying oat oil (to supplement barrier function) and nourishing shea to soften the gnarliest palms. Barley extract instantly improves the look of dehydrated hands, while lactic acid – the AHA of the ‘Alpha Hydroxy Therapy’ – gently exfoliates dulling dead cells to renew skin’s appearance and minimise scars and sun damage. The finishing touch? A soft rosy fragrance that acts a gentle reminder to stop what you’re doing and smell the roses.

For the first use, massage into hands, nails and cuticles and leave on overnight. Subsequently, apply at least two times a day.

Please be aware, this is an intensive hand treatment so may leave a residue – and excess can be gently removed with a tissue.

Warning: if irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately. Avoid contact with the eyes, if the product gets into eyes, rinse well with warm water immediately.
