Translating to 'friend', amika is designed to be your mane's new BFF. Born in Brooklyn and founded in 2007, the brand isn't afraid to bend the rules. Championing itself as inclusive to all, it celebrates different tresses textures, types and styles. Wishing for hydrated lengths? amika's Soulfood Nourishing Mask (250ml) is a thirst-quenching dream for dry locks.
Ideal for all hair types (especially those in need of some moisture), this rich and creamy formula provides superior nourishment, without weighing your mane down. Brimming with nutrient-rich ingredients, it's powered by the likes of jojoba seed oil (a source of many fatty acids, powerful antioxidants and vitamins A, D and E) as well as omega-rich sea buckthorn, a superfruit that promotes elasticity and delivers superior water-locking potential. Expect your tresses to feel softer, silkier *and* more manageable.
Water/Eau/Aqua, Cetyl Alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Panthenol, Behentrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol, Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn/Argousier) Seed Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Cetrimonium Chloride, Isopropyl Alcohol, Fragrance/Parfum, Ascorbic Acid, Citric Acid, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Hydroxycitronellal, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde.

Nourishing
I love this hair mask. It deepy hydrates my hair. A little bit goes a long way, so it lasts a long time. Plus it smells heavenly.

Very nourishing!
I love this hair mask! It's my second time buying it. It has a thicker texture, so it might be too much for some people, but I found it very nourishing. It doesn't weight down my hair and it smells absolutely amazing. I'll probably re-purchase again.

Decent
Amika Soulfood is a decent hair mask. It leaves my hair soft and supple and helps in detangling after shampoo. The scent is sort of generic and perhaps a little old-school. After air-drying my hair, it feels soft but regarding frizz and straightness and overall appearance remains an underdog for the best I've tried, such as Christophe Robin's mask with prickly pear or Olaplex No3 plus No8.

Disappointed
I had high expectations on this and I was disappointed. I find this mask too heavy on my hair and not nourishing. It's just heavy and seems like doesn't "melt" with my hair:(
