In reality, the evocative brand was founded in 2006, and has already captured the hearts (and noses) of beauty gourmands around the world. Housed in a chic monochrome tube, BYREDO's Suede Rinse-Free Hand Wash is the aristocracy of hand sanitisers with an alcohol concentration of 30%.

This product is not intended to be anti-bacterial and can not prevent the spread of infectious diseases, bacteria or viruses but leaves your hands feeling clean and delicately scented – no sink required. The packaging is so much chicer than most hand sanitisers and regular use won't dry your hands. It comes in a lightweight tube and the gel smells divinely of pear, bergamot and fresh aldehydes. Suede gently unfurls with nuances of lily of the valley and violet before settling on a bed of soft musks, smooth velvet plum, and sweet, crisp amber: making this a real pleasure to use.
