Apply to dry hair. Load up the small end of the brush with powder. Use free hand to pull hair flat/taut against head and press brush down firmly into roots, starting from scalp and working out (do not use sweeping motion). Apply more powder as needed. To extend highlights, use the side edge of the small brush.

This is the best root cover on the market. Although small size, it lasts forever. Unlike root cover spays which make my scalp itchy next day, this is fine and does not need to be washed after use. Very handy for travel as well as for home when Im lazy to dye my hair.

Great for in between hair salon
I dye my hair ginger, but imma brunette, so in three weeks my roots are already showing. I was looking for something that postpone my visit to the hair salon. This is not that covering (I assume it would be great for grey or light hair), but it is true that once put on, stays on until you wash your hair.

I bought this product hoping it would help fill in sparse areas when I put my hair up, but it didn't work out as I'd hoped. It's difficult to blend evenly and ends up looking messy, almost like smudges. Plus, I found the included brush made application even trickier.
