Evolving from their Brooklyn roots (it all started in D.S.’s Bushwick apartment…), today D.S. & Durga’s luxury line is lauded by tastemakers — or should we say, scentmakers — and fragrance-ophiles around the world. Bottling a universe within each perfume, each scent has a story, be it the seaside escapism of the {Rose Atlantic} or the punk-inspired subversiveness of the {Debaser} scent. Explore six of D.S. & Durga’s whimsical worlds with the Greatest Hits Vol.1.
With simple monochrome bottles that let the scents do the talking, D.S. & Durga’s gender-neutral perfumes make a fine addition to any vanity. Carefully crafted from vegan ingredients that are cherry-picked for aromatic payoff and quality, each scent is shaped in New York City with stories that span the world over.
A sextet of scents to suit all occasions, this set includes ‘Cowboy Grass’ (uniting wild thyme and bergamot with basil, rose otto, vetiver and grass), ‘Debaser’ (with pear stem, coconut milk and iris poured over tonka bean and moss), ‘Rose Atlantic’ (a cocktail of honeysuckle, black raspberry and rose), ‘Radio Bombay’ (merging copper with sandalwood and coconut musc), ‘I Don’t Know’ (swirling together bergamot essence, vetiver acetate and civetone) and finally, ‘Bowmakers’ (mixing violin varnish with mahogany, Maplewood and spiced tree resin).

Nice selection but expected more
This is a great way to try the scent you like although it is more expensive than most discovery sets. They are trully unisex with Rose Atlantic being the most feminine and Cowboy Grass and Bowmakers most masculine out of them. Debaser smells very green on opening but after it dries down I can smell coconut which balances it nicely. Radio Bombay and I don't know are my personal favourites although I'm not sure if it's worth the buying the full size. I would've liked to see Jasmin Yucatan there as well.

Depends on your preferences
First of all, these scents truly work without gender, they don't lean towards feminine or masculine. I had higher hopes regarding the longevity, not a single scent lasted over a whole day of work. I was particularly interested in Radio Bombay and while it really is a nice scent, it didn't stand out enough to warrant the purchase of a bottle. None of them did, at least not for me. Maybe the first collection is better?
