Okay but disappointing

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Not a versatile product and only suits some skin tones. This cream starts off as green and does neutralize redness, but it turns dark beige on my skin, multiple tones darker than my actual skin. If you are a beige-ish shade yourself and light-medium complexion, it might be a good product for you but a warning to pale folks — it will make you look like an Oompa Loompa. My friend tried this out of curiosity, and her darker skin got incredibly ashy-looking with this product.

Reduce redness and even skin tone

I use this by itself on days I don't want to put on makeup but still want to reduce the redness.

Hmmm

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

So i got this a long time ago and hardly ever use it! It does calm down redness and the tiniest bit is really enough - no need for the full size. (I haven't noticed any moisturizing benefits) However, it can't really be worn alone, it gives a funny shade to your face so not an alternative to makeup.

Genuinly a genius product

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’ve used it in tropical weather, desert and during the winter, hasn’t failed in any of those conditions. I think the trick to good absorption is putting on some moisturizer before for it to glide smoother. Hasn’t irritated my skin and my pimples seemed more calm whenever I was wearing it.

Why the negative reviews?!

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I genuinely don’t understand why this has so many negative reviews.Pros - A tiny amount goes a (very!!) long way, reduces redness brilliantly, acts as a second moisturiser and, as someone who is suffering very dry skin during these heatwaves, a second moisturiser is no bad thing, has some excellent ingredients that are actually good for your skin, and it’s so good I don’t actually feel I need to use any foundation or BB cream during the day!Cons - I’ve taken 1 star away for only this reason - If you have a tan, this product can lighten your skin a little - But it’s nothing a bit of blush/bronzer can’t fix! Will absolutely buy again when this first pot eventually runs out, and as I bought the larger size, it’s not going to be for a long while yet!

Disappointed and ashy

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I bought this because I'm a huge fan of the Dr Jart's Cicapair balm, and use it nightly. However, this cream left me disappointed. It gives my skin a kind of ashy colour and washes me out.

Allergic Reaction / Concealer

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've tried 3 products in this line and have the same allergic reaction. My skin begins to feel prickly within moments and small red bumps come up after about 10 minutes. Then, my eye area becomes puffy and red. I've had to take antihistamines and use a topical steroid cream to stop the reaction. But, I really dislike this product in particular because it's basically just a concealer / makeup. It doesn't actually do anything for the redness. The "green to beige" thing is just a gimmick. It sits on the skin never blending in.

Rosacea hero

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I tried this after a recommendation from Rose Gallagher. I could not believe how efficient this product was at neutralising redness caused by my rosacea and it’s staying power through the day. You need such a small amount I would have bought the smaller pot if I had realised.

Secret weapon

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’ve learned a few good beauty habits during lockdown (like double cleansing). My skin looks much better for it but I’m still more flushed than I’d like without makeup. I tried Cicapair hoping for a colour corrector that would make my foundation look better - it’s very good for that but does more too. Lightweight and soothing,  I suspect it treats the skin as little blemishes are less common these days and my skin looks better without makeup. I use it after applying moisturiser as a base for my foundation. It’s great - doesn’t feel greasy, makeup goes on smoothly and stays matte, no hint of redness. Highly recommended.

Am I the only one?

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Ok so, long story short, I hate wearing make up and taking it off so I normally don't wear it. However, I have the darkest circles under my eyes which I detest! I have seen this on Instagram etc and finally decided to give it a go.Have I missed something? I THOUGHT this was a colour correcting moisturiser essentially and thought it would be brilliant - I could even out my skin tone and dark circles a little but not have to worry about double cleansing every evening....well this definitely has pigment in it. It's great don't get me wrong, it's quite subtle (can make you look a bit pale if it's applied too thick) stays on quite well but it's got a foundation like colour/feel when applied. It also rubs off when you're wearing a mask. I haven't used it for long so I'm going to keep going but I feel like I've bought something I was trying to avoid.
