Your skin never knew hydration... until now. Taking ceramides and blending these with six African oils then whipping all this into a cream, the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream (50ml) has the luxurious texture of a rich face cream without feeling suffocating or heavy.
Formulated with marula oil, which is high in antioxidants and omegas to give the skin a powerful dose of hydration, this must-have also stars mongongo to defend against environmental aggressors and baobab provides moisturising and soothing benefits. Elsewhere in the formula, kalahari melon is a super hydrating, rejuvenating oil, and ximenia is rich in vitamin C, making it fantastic at brightening the look of skin. Produced at an ideal pH level of 5.5, Lala Retro Whipped Cream prevents skin from looking dull or dry while delivering a steady dose of moisture during night and day.

Excellent for dry skin
This is my winter moisturiser of choice. Sinks in beautifully, hydrates my skin and make up applies smoothly afterwards. I have dehydrated skin that is dry in the colder months, this would be too much in the summer but perfect to protect against the elements.

So lovely
I've been eyeing Drunk Elephant products for a while now and decided to bite the bullet with the Lala Retro. It. Is. Divine. The texture is so lush, the packaging is genius, and sure it's a bit pricey, but I'll happily pay the price for ethically sourced ingredients and clinically clean formulations. Also I've noticed that when I apply it in the morning my skin stays soft and hydrated throughout the day! Just an all around lovely product.

Simply the best
If this moisturiser were the only product on the market I wouldn't complain because I don't need anything else anymore. It's perfect both for winter and summer, and under makeup too. I love the fact that it has a natural smell, has zero perfume and is full of beneficial ingredients. Con(s)? The price tag, knowing that it lasts only a few weeks.

Smell
I would give it a 5 but the smell is so bad that my husband doesn’t even want to kiss me right after I’ve put it on! Other than that, it’s amazing and really moisturised my skin.

This helped very much but you should mix it with serum and marula oil. I suffer from rosacea and my skin was very dehydrated, not anymore. Thank you very much Drunk Elephant!!!!

It's suitable for both day and night, and perfectly mixes with other DE products like C-Firma, A-Passioni, B-Hydra, TLC. It has a great, hygienic packaging that allows you to extract a small amount of the product perfectly sufficient to moisturize the entire face.

Leaves an amazing glow!!
Have only been using this product for one day but already love it. I'd wanted to buy it for a while but couldn't bring myself to spend so much... It is a lot and there are definitely good, more affordable options. This is not a must have however it is amazing! My skin is already glowing, it leaves such a nice finish and feels so hydrated. The formula is super rich and mousse-y. I have oily/combination skin and this seems to work well for me. Overall, a really nice product!!

Smells like playdough
Splurged on this in a moment of weakness because of all the hype around Drunk Elephant. I was super excited to try such a luxury product and started to rub it in and was hit with a wave of nostalgia as the smell of playdough(???) washed over me. Disappointed it smells so weird - would have expected a really pleasant smell because of the lovely packaging and ingredient list. Woke up with super smooth skin so I guess it’s swings and roundabouts but I wouldn’t buy it again - £1 per 1ml is wild to smell like an infant's hands.
