Spirit of Christmas in a bottle
While it isn't intended to evoke a Christmassy feeling (at least, I don't think so?), the combination of citrussy top notes, the spicy heart and the sweet base does it for me. Lavender's cool touch reminds me of the Christmas tree, and next to that Christmas tree is a table full of gingerbread, freshly baked sugar cookies, and some fiery tangerines brightening it all up. The scent is very cozy, warm and enveloping, reminding you of happy times or a tender, strong embrace, and both the sillage and staying power are top-notch. Despite having "musc" in its name, it's not musky at all, I'd rather classify it as amber. Another instant classic from Frederic Malle!
