Born out of a passion for hair care and beekeeping - the craft has been in her family for six generations and their sustainably sourced honey is at the heart of every blend - Gisou was founded by Negin Mirsalehi in 2013. Inspired by her mother's secret honey-infused hair oil recipe, the Honey Infused Hair Wash gently lathers up to cleanse hair and remove any build up of sebum or dry skin at the roots - without stripping your strands of the natural hydration that makes them so touchably soft and gorgeous.
A mane cleanser for people that hate that dry, brittle feeling so many shampoos can leave on your hair, the Honey Infused Hair Wash is gentle, effective, impressively hydrating and better than ever with an all-new formula!
Relieving your hair of sebum build up, pollution and dirt, this floral-scented formula creates a rich lather, with honey as the star of the show. A natural humectant (meaning it slurps up and holds hydration within the hair shaft), this star ingredient is packed with vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants to impart strength, help repair damage and add enviable shine. Cue: advert-worthy tresses in 3, 2, 1...

Hard to rinse
Although this shampoo has a really nice smell and feel to it, it is hard to wash it out. I understand that it is supposed to not dry out your hair while washing, but I had a hard time with it since the hair got greasy very quickly because of that.

Its totally worthy
I so much love this shampoo - I have dry hair and a dry scalp, so it helps me to get rid of tangling. And I feel no more scalp irritation! And the smell is unreal!

A nice simple shampoo
I have mixed feelings about this one. It is nicely yet mildly scented and looks beautiful in the bathroom. Also, I do have a very sensitive and dry scalp and the Gisou shampoo did not irritate it at all. However: the shampoo does not lather very well, and one needs to use a lot of it for long hair. It's pricey and the long-term results are average. So all together - it's a nice "OK product" and would probably be best for those that have so called "normal" hair that do not need special care. If you have damage, need to detox your hair etc, this shampoo will not do anything for you.

For thin hair
I have oily scalp and thin dry hair.. Though it does not help much with oily scalp.. It definitely leaves the hair clean and shiny.. Looking healthy.. This is my 2nd purchase..

Weighed my hair down
When blow drying my hair after using this shampoo it felt waxy like there was still a lot of product in my hair.

It’s ok nothing special
It dries my hair and afterwards my hair is difficult to manage cause they get tangled. It only happens when I use this shampoo. Won’t repurchase again. On the hunt to find the perfect shampoo for my fine, frizzy, oily scalp and dry ends.

Wouldn’t use another brand after this
I absolutely adore Gisou. I discovered the brand just over a year ago before it was sold in Cult Beauty and I love everything about it.This shampoo is like a god send for me. My hair has a tendency to feel coarse and straw like no matter what I do with it, and it always feels stripped with any shampoo. However this shampoo really nourishes my hair and scalp. My hair feels clean, but not stripped. And the smell is just unreal!

Surprisingly great
So, I have really straight, thin hair with a sensitive and dry scalp. At first I was worried, because this shampoo does not lather as much as other shampoos. I was concerned if it actually cleaned anything. But I was so wrong! My hair feels so thick, soft and clean, without it feeling coarse. Would recommend to anyone with my type of hair. I also use the matching conditioner. It almost doesn’t have any smell at all, so if you like heavily perfumed shampoos, this one is not it.

Surprisingly good
I bought this , the conditioner and the leave in conditioner.  The idea of honey and flower fragrance was beguiling and is is beautiful but not at all strong.  What amazed me is when paired with my normal ( inexpensive) styling products my 3c hair was happier than it’s been in ages and I had tight ringlet curls that I thought had been lost with damage.  I love the scent and will probably buy the oil because I’d like to have that scent layered. I’m so very happy to have an alternative to coconut/ Shea /tropical scents - which are lovely but inevitable for curls of type 3 and 4.  Â
