It's also great as a protective masque, used once a week mixed with a little water and left on to harden.

This effective yet caring cleanser is packed with a whole host of potent minerals and antioxidants from the founder’s native Iceland (where plants have evolved to withstand the extreme Scandinavian temperatures). This not only 'dissolves' dead surface cells and daily dirt, but also nourishes and fortifies with sea kelp and magnesium sulphate. As a detox cleanser, pour one scoop into palm. Add just enough water to hydrate mixture (not soupy). Use index finger to stir and smooth crystals. Work between palms then gently massage over face and neck. Promptly rinse. Use 1x/day or less to allow complexion to adjust to potent mineral absorption. Momentary redness due to increased circulation may occur.

As a protection masque, one time per week follow cleanser instructions, but allow masque to harden and crystalize before rinsing. Splash with warm water to soften crystals, then rinse in gentle circular motions.
