Encapsulating the ancient myths and rituals of Egypt, Cire Trudon’s Odeurs d'Egypte Trio smell as divine as they look. The Philae Scented Candle is inspired by an island on the Nile – think cool stone temples, hieroglyphs and the scent of papyrus wafting in the breeze. A timeless creation, it’s centred around the ancient scent of papyrus, which exudes a dry, woody, scholarly scent which is reminiscent of book shops. The head notes of woody, herbaceous cistus and subtly spicy pepper and base of lemongrass-like vetiver and woody, amber-like labdanum lend intriguing, lingering depth and ensure that your rooms are filled with sublime scent. Dedicated to one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Cire Trudon’s Gizeh Scented Candle encapsulates the mysterious, fascinating atmosphere of the majestic pyramids of Giza. Woody and intriguing, the sublime scent opens out with notes of birch and sweet smelling marron glacé (candied chestnuts) on an earthy, subtly sweet base of patchouli and cedar. Wrapped in woody notes, Amon is an homage to the mysterious ancient Egyptian ‘hidden god’ that, as the myth has it, no one could set eyes on. Encapsulating this mysterious story, this candle is scented with notes of traditional incense, subtly sweet patchouli and vanilla-like tonka bean, opening with head notes of rose and aldehydes and carried on an irresistibly woody base of sandalwood and cedar. It is important to trim wick before each use. When using the candle for the first time, keep the candle alight until the entire surface is covered in liquid wax. This should take approximately 1 hour and will ensure a more effective, even burn for all future uses.
