A little goes a long way...

When I first tried this foundation I thought I hated it. I found what lots of people have with it caking on the skin and picking up the product when trying to blend, but I realised I’d been using too much product. I have dry skin so as long as I use a hydrating primer that allows me to easily move the product, I can use a lot less than most foundations (although the half a pump they claim is still ambitious for me if you want full coverage). The finished result when done properly is beautiful and the most skin-like finish I’ve had from a foundation so far. I personally like this much more than the Vanish Stick Foundation.

Hourglass vanish liquid foundation

Total waste of money. I normally don't write reviews but to save others from wasting money I had to write this. Doesn't look good in real life as well as photos.

Love

I’m a huge Hourglass Vanish Stick fan, which is perfection for me. So, when this liquid formula came out, I was really excited to try it. I use Beige in the Vanish Stick, so have got the same in this. The first time I used it, I confess, I was not sure about it. The liquid looks a bit warmer on my skin than the stick. I did find that I had to work quickly to blend out this liquid foundation compared to the Stick. My initial uncertainty has passed and I find myself reaching for this when I want full coverage. It blends out better, on me, with an Artist brush. I will repurchase this. However, the Hourglass Vanish Stick foundation is still my favourite.

Shook

I was taken in by the hype. I’m not gunna lie. But the hype was real. I did go into a store to get matched as some were saying many shades would give a yellow cast however I was matched to porcelain and it does cover any redness and I really didn’t need any primer. I have normal to oily skin so this goes on flat but after an hour is very very skin like and it doesn’t oil out like some others. I was in clubs and rain and my skin stayed in tact. I’ve seen a lot of reviews on YouTube with people CAKING this on and then sayin it gave them texture and it was awful but I guarantee less is more with this one. It kind of self adjusts after a few minutes like I was tempted to put on more but by the time I had left it a few minutes it’s like the warmth of my skin blended it for me. Seriously worth a shout but I would recommend getting shade matched as it . Is expensive. But for a1/4-1/2 a pump per application depending on coverage required, your laughing!! Ps I prefer the beauty blender method of application so I don’t look too “done”.

I'm with Beth ... this is 'The One'!

There are so many negative reviews on this foundation that I'm truly worried Hourglass will reformulate this PERFECT formulation. I suffer from extreme hyper pigmentation, so I've tried EVERYTHING that claims to be full coverage, and NOTHING comes even remotely close to this. I was resigned to wearing cake face, which looked dull & flat IRL & in photos ... but no more! This hides all of my unsightly dark marks and yet leaves a finish that is believably skin! Okay - I may use slightly (a lot) more than the recommended half pump, but does that even matter? I apply with a brush & 'bounce' a Beauty Blender on top for the most gorgeous coverage I've ever experienced. And there are entirely too many foundations that claim to be sweat/humidity resistant - this one knocks them all out of the park. I'm currently in Phuket, Thailand, where it is STEAMING hot. Given the condition of my skin, I won't set foot out of the door without makeup on, but every time I've been here using my previous mix of foundations, I have battled the dreaded sweat moustache - and I've tried EVERYTHING (primer-wise & powder-wise) to keep it at bay - all to no avail. Since I've been here with my Hourglass HG, there is no more struggle - nothing budges & no sweat beads!! Is it a little on the pricey side? Well, if you take into consideration all I've expressed above, it is money SO well spent. To summarize, I've pushed past the negative reviews, thrown out the instructions, and found the best way that works for ME to apply it. And I truly am overjoyed. Oh, and full disclosure: I don't like any of the other Hourglass offerings. But this one? Best. Ever. Foundation. Ever. Did I say ever?!

Not worth the hype

I love hourglass products and couldn’t wait to try this new foundation however I was disappointed. I have combination skin and this foundation soon becomes patchy and leaves me shiny. I would not buy this again, I much prefer the foundation stick

I have finally found 'The One'!

I was honestly worried I was going to become a victim to the hype by ordering this foundation. This is the first time I have ever taken a chance on a foundation by ordering online without a colour match test. Well, I am glad I took a gamble. This is honestly a game changer for me, seamless is the word. Despite being full coverage, I barely feel like I have anything on. Half a pump covers my whole face and blends seamlessly, also the colour match is perfection. I have large pores with combination skin, this blurs my pores and I barely have to use any setting powder (an essential for me usually). Yes, this is expensive, but it's the best out there in my opinion and I have tried them all!
