Meh
This isn't my favourite setting powder but I've been working through a mini I've gotten as a GWP and I know I'm getting another one in the CB advent calendar. I guess my biggest issue is that the 'translucent' colour is not translucent, it's a light beige and I'm very fair skinned, so it can almost be a bit shadowy especially under my eyes. But the finish is nice, demi-matte. Basically a product I wouldn't buy myself but don't mind using if I end up with it.

Great loose powder!
I am very happy with this loose setting powder. It is very finely millled and it helps with setting my foundation and to prevent that oils may come through. My sensitive skin has no issues with it.

Average product for my needs
First of all, the packaging is terrible and spilled on first usage and it’s so messy - so not mess free as the product claims. This needs to be addressed as it’s a very expensive powder. It also isn’t the best for my combination skin type with an oily t-zone. I much prefer the original Laura Mercier loose powder for setting or Huda loose powder. This powder is better for under the eyes and around the perimeter of the face where it is not as oily. It sits too much like a finishing powder for me to use as a setting powder so I am dissatisfied with it as it claims to reduce the look of excess shine and set makeup. I didn’t find that. I feel it should be marketed as a finishing powder. Probably great for extra dry skin that doesn’t need hardly any powder. It does give a nice heathy look to the skin (like a blur and a glow at the same time) when first applied but doesn’t last for me. Such a shame.

Hourglass' Veil Translucent Setting Powder is my absolute favorite! I love it even more than the Laura Mercier powder. The light-reflecting particles give my skin a luxurious, healthy look, and it never feels cakey. I will definitely keep repurchasing it. I got the travel size, and it's lasted me quite a long time, which makes it a great value.
