nice but not worth the price
The smell is nice and it washes hair well, but you need a sizeable amount of the liquid for each use and I did not notice any significant effect compared to much cheaper products.

Smells great, not a good shampoo though
I tried a sample of this and I loved the smell so I thought I would try the full size. On the plus side it still smells great, its a green woody smoky smell thats so lovely, however as a shampoo its quite poor. I find it very drying, it made my scalp very flaky and also made my hair quite rough and sort of poofy/frizzy, even my partner who never notices these things said my hair looked a bit 'big and messy' - I do have long thick hair, maybe it would be better for fine hair as a volumising shampoo? To be honest I wasn't expecting it to be a good shampoo, you are basically paying for the Le Labo name and the smell so i'm not that disappointed but as its quite expensive I don't think i'd buy again. I will just use a little bit every now and then to get the lovely smell and rely on other shampoos most of the time

Beautiful scent
From the moment I opened it, the scent transported me to the hinoki forests in Japan. A gorgeous woodsy scent that lingers in your hair for hours. It lathers super well, I normally prefer to shampoo with another shampoo first then double shampoo with this one to leave that gorgeous scent and extend the life of the bottle. Highly recommend!

very gentle
This is a very gentle and pleasant shampoo. It smells earthy and a bit moss-like. It doesn't foam up too much but it's also not bad, it is gentle and cleanses the scalp well. Basically it is great if you lather it up in your hands first and use it properly. Highly recommend for people who want a more natural shampoo.
