Utilising ultra-advanced active brightening technologies, NIOD’s RE: Pigment is your new secret weapon in the battle against uneven tone and hyperpigmentation. Highly saturated yet impressively lightweight, this emollient solution incorporates modern advances in biotechnology and peptide technology to counteract one of the most difficult to treat dermal concerns. The core active technologies include diglucosyl gallic acid (which is proven to be 60 more active than kojic acid in visibly brightening skin tone) and a redness reducing azelaic acid and glycine combination. Alongside these, white shiitake ferment – a purified bio-derivative that targets the appearance of dark spots within a week of use – and red evodia fruit derivatives, an ingredient used in Chinese medicine to encourage radiance and even tone.

Shake lightly. Apply serum to face AM and PM. If used as part of a NIOD regimen, apply after CAIS but before MMHC. Avoid unprotected UV exposure when using this formula.

Broke me out
Not only did I not see any brightening results on my acne scars but the serum being kinda oily and thick it broke me out on my t-zone. Expensive mistake. The serum from Paula's choice with azeliac acid works much better for evening out the skin tone (but also pricey)

Not sure about this...
I’m not sure about this. It takes forever to absorb and seems to just sit on the skin, leaving it sticky. I also haven’t really noticed a difference with this, unlike with IS clinical white lightening serum, which is amazing.

Brilliant product
I have an Indian brown skin tone and have dark spots left from acne. This oil has really helped me with fading it. Have to use this twice daily, it started working for me after a month of continuous use.

Really effective
It can really lighten the new sun damage. I use it every night before going to bed. After about two weeks, the sun damage on my hand is almost completely gone. But it does not work for aging, stubborn sun damage.

Did nothing! And I bought the big bottle!
I have Indian skin that scars very easily - my face looks like an inverted picture of the night sky :( I thought that it would make a significant difference because of the price and because it’s owned by the same company as The Ordinary. I thought it would be like their Alpha Arbutin serum on steroids! I gave this treatment a very fair chance and it made no difference whatsoever. £50 down the drain unfortunately... For anyone in a similar situation, I would recommend the Glossier Skin Solution, it didn't get rid of my marks but it did lighten them quite a bit.

Visible Fading
This works wonder! Just like many reviews I have read my new spots are gone in 2-4 week, older spots take longer. Blemish scars are disappearing so fast. Love this.

Lighten scars.
After wearing this for 2 weeks, I noticed the dark scars on my face have significantly faded/lightened, even people I met when I wasn't wearing makeup said the same thing that my scars are fading. Overall I think this product works as I have tried many products in the past 3 months to lighten the dark scars on my face that I got from cauterisation.

Didn't notice anything
I really wanted this to work. I have one melasma spot and some hyperpigmentation around my mouth. I finished the bottle and noticed no difference.
