Apply a pea-sized amount after cleansing, toning and exfoliating, and then follow with your serum and/or nighttime moisturiser. Avoid the lips, direct contact with the eye, and corners of the eyes. You may apply up to the orbital bone of the eye area. When first using the Clinical 1% Retinol, start with no more than three evenings per week, then gradually increase frequency to every other night and, finally, every evening as tolerated.

Nice retinol treatment
Have noticed the results in quite short time. I have problematic skin and already after one week usage my skin become calmer and smother in the texture without irritation. Nice consistency, no nasty smell, good spreading over the face.

Not for my skin
I had the 5 ml sample and I thought it was okay for my sensitive skin. I bought the full size before I finished the sample. And guess what? I haven't even started the full size and my skin doesn't like it anymore, I get a lot of irritation that starts soon after I apply it and it intensifies the next day. :(

Fantastic
I had been using The Ordinary's retinol in squalene for around a year and had been struggling between irritation and breakouts and seeing no results so finally gave up with it and albeit much more expensive, tried this as so many derms/skinfluencers recommended this on YouTube, I just say that I love this. Formulation is lovely, it hasn’t irritated me at all, couple of dry patches but that’s expected to start, and I see a difference in the mornings now with softer looking skin. It’s also helping with dark patches after spots. Will be continuing with this one for sure!Â

Effective staple for skincare
I love this, doesn’t dry out your skin and gives great results. I’ve been using this every other night and my skin definitely looks brighter and smoother. I’d previously been using a more expensive brand of retinol by murad but feel this one from Paula’s choice is far more effective and I’m really impressed with the formula. Holy grail
I’d been using various retinols for a year building up to a 1% formula. I’d heard this one was the best 1% out there before going to prescription. It’s way more expense than my other skin care, but I knew that if I invested in a good quality retinol I could stop using other less important products (SPF and retinol are the foundations of a good routine right - get those right and you can stop with all the extra treatments).My skin took a while to be able to tolerate it but now I use 3 nights in a row, do a night of glycolic treatments and a night ‘off’ and WOW. It’s a powerhouse serum that has totally changed skin. It got rid of wrinkles I didn’t even know I had and keeps any pimples in check - it blasts them over night!I’ve ditched lots of other products now as this is better than all of them put together.The bottle lasts ages too - I use 2 pumps a night for 3 nights a week… and I’m still on my first bottle!Don’t hesitate to get it but please go slow and steady to start with as it could fry your skin!TIP: I found spreadability an issue with this product, so now I put 2 pumps onto damp skin and it just glides over.Â
