Powered by a medley of exfoliating acids, the Skin Perfecting 25% AHA + 2% BHA Exfoliant Peel (30ml) unblocks congested pores, smooths rough skin and reveals a radiant glow.
This concentrated, rinse-off peel harnesses water-soluble AHAs (8.4% glycolic acid, 7.1% lactic acid, 5% mandelic acid, 2.5% tartaric acid and 2% malic acid, to be exact) and oil-soluble salicylic acid to achieve multi-level resurfacing action. That's a fair few acids, we know, but they're balanced by plant extracts such as allantoin, bisabolol and plant-derived butterfly pea flower extract (the ingredient behind the blend's natural lilac colour) to soothe and reduce the signs of redness. Beyond fighting breakouts, diminishing blackheads and smoothing your skin texture, you can expect the peel to reveal hydrated, supple and luminous skin post-rinse.

Apply a generous amount to clean, dry skin, avoiding the immediate eye area and lips. Leave on for ten minutes, then rinse using warm water. Do not use other exfoliants at the same time as this product. Do not use more than once per week.

Great pick me up!
I tend to go overboard with chemical exfoliants - then I'm quickly reminded of my redness prone, sensitive skin... This has been a great addition to my now 'gentle' routine. I pop it on every Thursday eve and after 10 minutes, wash it off with no issue or redness and can see the glow almost immediately. This has made such a different to my congested areas. If you can sensitive skin but want the glow that only a great chemical exfoliant can give to you - then this is for you !

Very good
I am not a fan of the skin perfecting liquid exfoliant from the same brand so was sceptical when given this to try. The iridescent purplish liquid looked questionable at first sight and it smelt acidic, this concentration must be quite high I thought. After the initial slightly stinging sensation (definitely stronger than the products I am using), it settled and I patiently waited for the 10 mins to be over. The mask washed off easily with a warm cloth and water. The result - my skin looked brighter and soft to touch. No redness or sign of irritation and it stayed bright and soft the next day. I will definitely continue using it in the weeks to come. So little effort to reap the benefits, that's MY kind of cult product!

Gentle but effective peel!
I’m always a bit scared to use peels, but as a lover of the Paula’s Choice BHA Liquid Exfoliant I was really excited to try this and see what the results were on my skin. The texture is lovely and cooling to apply, and I love the iridescent colour! Keeping the peel on for 10 minutes, it felt really gentle on my skin with very little tingling (although I had a couple of spots that had a bit more of a burn, but I kind of like that in a weird way as it feels like it’s doing something…). My skin felt SO soft after removing the mask, with no redness or irritation. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and my skin definitely feels brighter with more of a glow - this is certainly something I’ll reach for now when my skin needs a pick me up! I’m sure a 5* review will be coming once I’ve used it for a few more months…Â

Love Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting Exfoliant Peel
This wonderful product has been a part of my skincare routine for the last 5 weeks. I have very sensitive skin so I have started by leaving it on my skin for 6 minutes instead of 10. I had no redness or sensitivity at all so doe the last 4 weeks I have been leaving it on my face for the full 10 minutes. It has improved the appearance of my pores and given my face a more rejuvenated look! I genuinely recommend it! :)

Effective
I am a regular user of AHA and BHA, so was definitely curious to see how this would work on my skin type. Not only is this product visually so pretty to look at, but to my surprise my skin looked flawless smooth and plump after just one use. I do sometimes have sensitive skin, so I was almost expecting this to have some kind of reaction. As I use other methods of active acids, I will likely only be using this every 7-10 days. Would recommend if you already use AHA and BHA!

A hard-working product
I used this with some fairly high expectations and was pleasantly surprised with the result. I've only ever used one other exfoliant peel and I think that this has trumped that other one. After one wash, it does genuinely reveal smoother and softer skin. Howeverrrr, I would be careful with this if you have sensitive skin because you don't want to cause irritation. Also dial back on the actives so you really get the benefits from this. I also like the pretty purple iridescent shimmer hahaha

Gentle yet effective
I am an avid acid user (maybe a little too much at times!) so my skin has built up a tolerance to acids and can handle tough exfoliation. This Paula's Choice mask has a wonderful texture, colour and consistency. I personally don't feel any irritation or stinging (as can sometimes be the case with peels) when I put this on and my skin feels soft and noticeably brighter after use. Will definitely be keeping this on rotation in my masking routine to help appease my hyperpigmentation.

Instant Results!
I have been using this once a week and have seen such an improvement in my skin texture - even from the first use. I found it really gentle, which is great as you can use it regularly, and also really effective. After just one use my skin felt baby-soft and looked glowy and radiant so it's a great treatment to do before a special event when you want your skin to be looking amazing! I also used this on my boyfriend (who never exfoliates or uses peels etc) and he was blown away! Honestly spent all weekend saying he couldnt believe how smooth his skin felt and how much younger he thought he looked!!! This peel is perfect for when you want instant visible results from a peel without the usual stinging and sensitivity after! Highly reccomend!

A new favourite weekly treat
I have fairly normal skin that can get a bit congested on my chin and nose areas from time to time. I use acids fairly regularly but decided to give this a try as I was looking for something a little stronger. My skin felt a little tingly when I first applied it but it soon calmed down. When I washed it off my skin felt super soft and even my boyfriend commented on how radiant it looked! I will keep using it as my special weekly treat.

Powerhouse
Having very sensitive it's always a gamble when trying something super active, but this one was a good one. I use AHAs and BHA daily so my skin has built up a tolerance, there are also some great calming ingredients in the formula which gave me some reassurance that this peel wouldn't be too much. Upon application I experienced some tingling which is completely normal and stopped after a few minutes. The texture is gel like, has a gorgeous lilac hue and is easy to apply evenly. My skin felt super soft and looked glowy as soon as I rinsed it off, it really helped to clear congested areas as well as a couple of pesky pimples and caused no redness or irritation at all. Because of my skin type, that's maybe not something I would use weekly, maybe more twice monthly or when I feel that my skin needs a more intense treatment. This would be great for someone who uses acids in their regime but want that extra weekly treat!
