Update to first review
I'm going to bump up to five stars from my original review. Great long wear from Bitter Buddhist after three days and the more I've worn it the more I've come to be impressed with the editorial shade. Noticeable enough to gain a compliment, which never usually happens with my other polishes!

Thick formula, but still needs 2/3 coats
I bought Bitter Buddhist as I was intrigued by the colour and the buzz surrounding it with some bloggers and fashion sites. On the plus side the colour didn't disappoint me in being intriguing when applied; it really is quite an unusual shade that can be low-key but noticeable at the same time. On the minus side, it is quite a thick formula compared to two other Smith & Cult polishes I have which are easier to apply. I needed three coats to be sure of no patchy streaks or brush marks and then finished it off with a topcoat of Seche Vite. Can't comment on how hard wearing it is as I've only had it on a day but no tip wear or chips as yet.
