Good for oily skin

This sets my make up nicely so that I only have to touch up once in a work day to deal with my oily skin (t-zone mostly). I am sensitive to make up and have had nightmares over the years, but this doesn't clog my pores and I like the semi-matte finish it brings. I like the slightly old fashioned, solid nature of this compact, it won't get destroyed in my bag.

Cakey

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Recently purchased this and I don't know if it is just me, but this is as awful if not worse than the concealer! First off, for something which is supposed to be whisper light this applies more like a powder foundation. I bought the lightest shade to go with my very pale skin and although the colour was correct this is about the only good thing I can say about this product, sadly. Over my Jouer luminizing moisture tint this left a thick cakey layer of powder which within an hour began to separate and look patchy. I would say my skin is normal verging on dry in the current season so this surprised me somewhat. I had another go the second day using a Sigma fluffy powder brush as opposed to the sponge that comes with the product with exactly the same result. Horrible. Having used the RMS Unpowder this did not compare in any way and I would certainly not repurchase. Sadly, being pure silica, the RMS leaves my skin too dry, so the search for the perfect finishing powder continues and I am considerably out of pocket..:(
