I really really wanted to love this product. I heard/read a lot about the brand and got a bunch of products to use and try out. I used them for a long time (3-4 months) in the recommended order and I just don't get the hype. They didn't ruin my skin, but they didn't really help it either. The worst thing is they were flaking off my skin after using them together (even though I waited a while before applying each product so that the previous one would be absorbed). Don't know if I'm doing something wrong and that's why I didn't like it as much as everyone else, but I would not really repurchase it.

Actually this is the most serum that I liked from the ordinary , I had an allergy on my face it was itchy because of my dry face ( because of the salicylic acid) and this serum treated my itchy from the first use , I really recommend this guys

Not a fan of The Ordinary but from time to time I give a chance to some of their products. My concern is to fade hyperpigmentation so always looking for brightening active ingredients. We know that any skincare product won’t do miracles espacially in a short period of time. This one obsorbs and layers well with any product I tried, it is light, not heavy or sticky and most important I’ve seen improvement with the dark spots. I’ll keep using, great price-quality balance

GOOD FOR PREVENTION AND FOR RECENT HYPERPIGMENTATION
I tend to get hyperpigmentation after going out in the sun, even with SPF, so I used this serum in the mornings and evenings and was pretty hopeful judging from the other reviews. It's good value as the bottle lasted around 6 weeks. The product itself is a jelly-like serum with a very slight chemical scent, and it didn't irritate my skin at all. Unfortunately I couldn't notice any difference with my dark spots that have been there for a while, however it did fade some more recent hyperpigmentation, including scars left after spots had healed. I think it's a good preventative serum too, as when I didn't use it for a few days I noticed a few dark spots forming which were made lighter after using the serum.
