Trying this for hormonal acne. The verdict is out on effectiveness, but I thought it worth noting that contrary to the product description and general talk about azelaic acid, it does, in fact, cause some irritation. I find there is a pretty strong immediate itching sensation when applied. This goes away after about an hour, but it’s pretty unpleasant. I’ve tried the tiniest amount just on the problem area, and made sure not to use at the same time as other actives, but 2 weeks in and I clearly just have skin that doesn’t appreciate this formulation.Â

Amazing result
I just have to give a review for this remarkable cream. Â I have had a large open pore in the middle of my forehead for years that I haven't been able to get rid of. Â Within 2 weeks of using this cream it has almost disappeared - it seems to be healing from the bottom up. Â I have a few broken veins and some redness across my cheeks and nose (not rosacea or dermatitis - just ageing) and the cream has not made it worse but not sure its better either. Â But that open pore is nothing short of a marvel. Â Brilliant stuff.Â

I love this product! I love everything about it. I had quite a bit of adult acne and azelaic acid did wonders for me! If you struggle with acne, you should definitely try this ingredient. The TO one is super affordable and I like the silicone texture of the cream, it feels on the skin like Benefit's POREfessional Pro Balm Primer. I use prescription azelaic acid now but this cream introduced me to this amazing ingredient.

Not for me
Stopped using this product because how it feels on your skin and the lack of results. I don't know if it's because of the dimethicone but the feeling I got after applying is just as if the cream keeps sitting on your skin and not absorbing. Like you have just put something very artificial on your face, like a film. Two stars because at least I haven't lost much money

Not my cup of tea
I think have too sensitive skin for even this type of acids... I was not able to see any benefits due to that I think. I would encourage everyone to patch test on arm or neck skin before applying on your face.

worked on my post-acne spots
I got a lot of post-acne spots recently, and always wanted to try azelaic acid. didn’t disappoint! after just a couple uses the red spots became paler, and now I have only a few stubborn ones. the only drawback is that, IMO, Ordinary puts less product now. I’ve been buying their products for years now, and this is the second time, when after using the product for a short time, I realize that I’ve already used half a package :(

Perfect for dry/sensitive akin
I love this lil boy. I have dry and dehydrated skin but because of the mask I also have pimples on my chin. This acid isn’t hard as the salicylic one but it really does the job: clearer skin, the red sign after the pimple disappers soon and I don’t feel my skin itchy. Love!
