The Ordinary has firmly cemented itself as a leader in science-backed skin care. Taking the guesswork out of building a regime, it ditches unnecessary, filler ingredients for familiar, hard-working actives that deliver promising results. A case in point is the Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% (30ml), a gentle serum designed to smooth, brighten and plump.
Want to improve the appearance of dull, lacklustre skin while you sleep? Cue The Ordinary's Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres (30ml) treatment.
At the centre of this water-free formula is L-ascorbic acid (AKA the purest form of vitamin C) which remains completely stable due to the absence of water. Famed for its brightening abilities, this acid reduces the appearance of an uneven skin tone and dark spots. That's not all though; with the infusion of hyaluronic acid spheres, this treatment also hydrates and plumps the skin. It's ideal to use at bedtime, so you can wake up with a radiant, supple and more youthful-looking complexion.
Ascorbic Acid, Squalane, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Coconut Alkanes, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ethylhexyl Palmitate, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Glucomannan, Coco-Caprylate/Caprate, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Acrylates/Ethylhexyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Trihydroxystearin, Bht.

Apply a small amount to the face once daily, ideally in the evening. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. Use sun protection during the day. A tingling sensation can be expected; if the sensation is too strong, the formula can be mixed with other oils of your preference before each application to reduce the strength.

good serum
I am happy that I found an affordable serum which contains vitamin c and is so much better than some expensive serums that I have tried.

Great but weird!
Love how this makes my skin feel the next day but feels weird going on and is super gritty, also it weirdly dyed my pillows orange??!!! What is this stuff?!!! There was no warning about that even though I’d read the reviews... Maybe I’m just a total skincare amateur and everyone else knows this??!

Vitamin C Suspension
This always goes into rolls when trying to put on. Not a fan although the tingling sensation is fine.

Effective
Love this product and have just ordered my second bottle. The formulation takes a little to get used to but once you get the knack for what amount works for you (and pat the product in rather than rub) the product really works to brighten the skin. The only thing I would improve is if it layered a little better under foundation.

Really nice
I really like it, it makes my skin plump and bright. I use it at night mixed with my moisturiser to combat the grittiness, and I wake up in the morning with the most glowing skin ever! But you must wash your hands after applying the vitamin C because it will oxidize while you sleep and turn your hands orange!

Cracked the code
I used to struggle with acne, and with a good skincare routine, I've come a long way. The only thing I couldn’t quite get was to even out my skin tone and get rid of acne marks. I knew I wanted to try a vitamin C since I had tried the Drunk Elephant one, and that one made my skin glow. Now I must say this is quite a difficult product to figure out, and I tried it for a week in many different ways but they weren’t all convenient and didn’t quite work. Until I read a review about how you should mix it with the hyaluronic acid! Wow, this works, and this way you also barely feel the graininess, not that I minded. It is still a little greasy on the skin, but as someone with dry skin, I don’t really mind that overnight. In a few days I found that my complexion is glowing and almost completely even!! Once you figure this one out, it’s an absolute game changer.

Don’t buy unless you want orange hands that smell like fake tan.
I bought this recently and only used it once. It turned my hands orange and they smelled really strongly of fake tan the next day. I don’t wear fake tan and I thought the smell was awful. Would not recommend.
