This palette is impressive as it has an amazing variety in it; a mix of cool, warm and neutral shades and a nice selection of four finishes [matte, metallic, satin & pearl] make it a very inclusive palette. It can be used for a variety of complete eye looks, covering the base, lid, crease, transition and highlight for every occasion, season & holiday, with a variety of shades to suit every skin tone - such a major plus, with including everyone with this. I have liked the vast majority of looks I've done with it to date. The blendability of all four finishes is excellent, and there isn't much fallout. To get a good idea about the wearability of the shadows, I haven't been using an eyeshadow primer with this palette and found that the pigmentation is really nice and there is no fading or creasing. I have to say that this palette has quickly made it into my top three picks for top-notch quality, and now I'm eager to try more Violet Voss palettes However I do have to note that there are a fair few shades that end up looking pretty much the same after they've been applied and blended, so this is not really a 42 pan palette for the everyday user applying the shadows on their skin only - my own fault for buying a professional-grade product, made to be used on all skin tones. A niggle that is more down to personal taste is my wanting a semi-bright matte yellow; to me it just seems like a bit of a waste to have the whole center/vertical row be different tones of satin or metallic finishes of yellow, but not have a coordinating matte shade to balance them out for a complete eye look - yes, there are plenty of options available, I just personally think a yellow-based shade would have matched up better. On the same subject; matte shades of blue and pink would also balance the metallic tones of the blues, pinks, and peaches too. If you are a professional, then click right now and buy it - it has everything for every client you'll have. If you want to use this palette for your own personal use then I do still think that it's a great buy and recommend it, but suggest waiting until you find a discount code or coupon; just using the shades on one skin tone means that some will look too similar to each other, so I'd hesitate to pay the expensive full price as it won't seem like a 42-shade palette to non-professionals.

Nothing agains the product, purely the documentation
I haven't bought this palette yet because all the images on this page make the colours in the palette different...the first and last images show the colours were super vibrant and pigmented whilst the second image shows the colours looking so bland. I'm not prepared to fork out £70 for a shadow palette that I can't tell what colours I'm going to receive! Such a shame, I love Violet Voss.

Outstanding
These colours are so versatile which means that the colour combinations and the looks are endless. Each of the 42 shades are so buttery and pigmented that it makes the price point understandable. They also blend super seamlessly and last for the entire day. The packaging is also gorgeous with it's holographic leopard print and it's heavy weight, which makes it feel luxurious and expensive. If you were going to buy one singular palette to do for the rest of your life, it would be this one!

Amazing.
I absolutely adore this pallet. I honestly think this pallet is my absolute favourite. I've been looking for a red pigment that doesn't turn pink as soon as you blend it out and this pallet has two amazing red shades. If you love red or orange coloured looks, you need this pallet.

Absolutely love this palette! It is so easy to use and the colours blend so effortlessly. So buttery and pigmented. The quality and texture are very similar to the ABH Modern Renaissance - another must have.
