If there’s anyone we’ll trust with delivering on intense hydration, it’s K-Beauty brand, LANEIGE (remember that iconic pink lip mask?). The Water Bank Blue range, including this Hyaluronic Cream Moisturizer, goes beyond surface-level hydration with an innovative formula that harnesses the power of algae. For those who love a rich cream but fear breaking out, this is just the thing. Promising hours of hydration, this moisturiser does not play around with plumping skin and brightening your complexion while striking the right balance between lightweight and luscious.
Perfect for day and night, this lush cream moisturiser relieves damaged skin and locks in moisture for up to 100 hours — yes, one hundred, you read that right.
Rich in texture but still light enough to use no matter the season, this moisturiser is a dream for skin that has seen harsh external damage. Be it the wind, sun or cold that ravages your skin, this moisturiser soothes and hydrates thanks to its star ingredient hyaluronic acid – but not as you know it! The ‘blue’ in the name refers to a form of hyaluronic acid that is fermented with deep sea algae, which has a low molecular weight. Translation? A swipe of this good stuff allows intense moisture to penetrate deep into the skin. It also strengthens the skin barrier and reduces redness, making it a treat for sensitive skin types.

Old vs New Water Bank
Skin type: Combination,Complexion: Clear,Age: 35As someone who loved the original version of this (Water Bank Moisture Cream), I'm reviewing it to compare while I still have a little left of the original and can say I'm quite happy with it.In appearance the new Water Bank cream looks the same. The smell is a bit softer but similar, and the original didn't have a strong scent to begin with so if you found the original Water Bank cream's scent a bit strong, this should possibly be all right for you. The consistency is a touch thinner, making it come across as a little less rich or, if you worry about your face feeling clogged or caked, not as thick. Compared to the gel version of Water Bank, it's still thick and soothing though. It absorbs at a similar speed as the original and leaves my skin feeling the same. Until it has absorbed fully into the skin, the new Water Bank cream will feel a bit thinner but that's all.Unfortunately I'm not a huge full face of makeup wearer so I can't give commentary on how either cream sits under foundation, contour and powders.Overall, I'm happy with the new version as it still does what the old one did and there's barely any physical difference between the two. A good cream before, especially if you have dry skin or are dry in parts, and a good cream now!
