These ingenious, pre-soaked (travel-friendly) facial pads are infused with a blend of four different hydroxyl acids, to gradually resurface skin and in turn, reduce the appearance of lines, scars, dark spots, dullness and enlarged pores. polyhydroxy acids – the next generation of hydroxy acids – are natural, safe and non-irritating. Derived from lactose, Zelens use lactobionic polyhydroxy acid to enhance exfoliation of the uppermost layer of skin and encourage the normalisation of its thickness, whilst binding atmospheric water to create a natural gel-film that grants hydration, plumpness and a velvety smoothness to the skin, and protect from the damage caused by environmental aggressors. alpha hydroxy acids have a deeper, dermal effect – boosting the production of collagen and thus increasing the strength, elasticity and thickness of deeper skin layers, and beta hydroxy acid (salicylic) works to minimise the visibility of wrinkles, whilst tackling blemishes by reducing inflammation and eliminating pore-clogging surface debris. They're eco-friendly too, so there's nothing not to love!

Great product!
I love love love these pads! I first started with the DDG gentle peel pads which I adore, and then decided to try these as they work out slightly less expensive. Let me tell you, they are certainly not less effective. I have sensitive acne rosacea skin and these pads keep my skin SUPER smooth and calm. I use them every other night and they work a treat. Definitely recommend them and would also repurchase.

Good introduction to acids, although on the pricy end
These are very gentle but effective exfoliating pads. They don't irritate my skin at all and are a good alternative to a harsh glycolic acid. However, this isn't a particularly powerful product, has heavy plastic packaging, and there is no need for the pads when it could just be in a bottle to do a splash. Also I find that even though I'm cautious to close the container very fast and never leave it sitting open, by the time I get to the bottom of the stack, the pads are dried out. I think this is very poor value for an ok product.

Excellent!!
They’re really, really good! You feel a difference in texture almost instantly. Plus they’re gentle and perfectly fine for sensitive skin. Plus NO glycolic! Glycolic is not going anywhere near my face so this is perfect!

Great
Love these, helped a lot with textural issues and a little bit with pigmentation. Didn't dry out my skin or irritate it.

Great on sensitive skin
I got this in a Caroline Hirons beauty box, I am really happy with the kind yet effective exfoliation, I could see results after one week, my sensitive rosacea skin was not overreacting and looked clearer.

Meh
They are fine but I would prefer any number of other, often cheaper, acid toners. The smell is also hard to take. I will not repurchase.

Drying
I didn't even get through half the pot. Had to give up because it makes my skin so dry and causes tiny little spots, even when I was using just twice a week. I have a friend who has very oily skin and loves this, so maybe it's a matter of skin type. Mine's normal and this was way too strong. Different from what some beauty bloggers say, acids are not for everyone and definitely not to be used everyday. If you like them, go easy.

Try them
I like these although for my sensitive skin using them once a fortnight is appropriate, more than that and they are too strong. Less difficult faces should really benefit.

Better alternative to AHAs
I love these pads. I find them less irritating to use than glycolic acid exfoliants. I found that these didn't give me an immediate effect, but I persevered as I found them gentle. In the long term they helped to clear existing blemishes and kept my skin balanced. They also helped reduce hyperpigmentation left by old spots. And the pads are well soaked and do not dry out for ages.
